Aftonbladet is the largest news media in Sweden with a reach of around 4 million unique users every day. That equals half of the grown up population of Sweden. Working with the product design of such an important function in our democracy really adds personal value far beyond the fact that it is an extraordinarily interesting product environment.
My contribution on a day to day basis spans over a lot of different tasks and initiatives. Facilitating workshops with my colleagues, drawing design references and visualising ideas, improving the UX team design ops, sharing knowledge across teams, adding the design ingredient to the product development soup... The list could go on in such a multifaceted product.
One thing is constant though, and that's our rolling research process which means that we always ensure that we talk to users on a recurring basis. Feeding into our product development by identifying needs, exploring problems (:heart-eyes:), evaluating usability and qualitatively validating hypotheses. By doing so making sure that the user perspective is always formulated whenever we try and define a solution.
